Many thanks for your feedback on our Belstone knit. We're really sorry to hear it has started piling. Merino jumpers are prone to pilling/bobbling as it is a natural characteristic of fine wool. Pilling naturally occurs when the shorter fibers in a yarn naturally intertwine with wear. Pilling is most likely to appear upon areas of your knit where there is a lot of contact – under the arms, on the sides etc. The softer the yarn, the more pill-prone it is. Pilling will eventually stop once your knit has shed all its shorter fibers, but this takes time. To help care for your Merino jumper we recommend using a piling comb to reduce the appearance of bobbling. You should have received one with your jumper, if not, let us know and we will arrange for one to be sent to you.😊
