I am very sorry that you found park tickets difficult to locate. On Alton Towers Holidays we try to cater for all of our guests to the best of our ability.
All bookings made through www.altontowersholidays.com are for short breaks, so bookings would come with overnight accommodation plus tickets to the Alton Towers Theme park, or solely accommodation if guests happen to have a Merlin Annual Pass.
If you where looking to just purchase day tickets you may find it would be better to take a look at the main website and take a look at the options available at www.altontowers.com.
However, I do hope that our live chat service was able to help you out in finding the correct tickets for you.
