Light usage on skin - all SmoothSkin devices have a 3-mm UV filter that blocks out any harmful light from reaching the skin, protecting you at all times. Our devices have been clinically researched, tested and proven to be safe and effective. 2. Why we recommend shaving before use - we totally hear you, but it will be one of the last times you will have to do regularly. Like salon laser, IPL targets hair beneath the skin - by removing hair above the skin, it not only makes treatments comfortable but also more effective as the light can reach beneath the surface.
