The first email is sent without attachments in order to ensure that your Internet Service Provider (‘ISP’) allows this email to get through your spam or junk filter. The second email contains your policy documents as attachments. If we only sent the second email, your ISP might filter this as spam or junk. So sending 2 emails is a belt and braces approach to ensure that you receive your policy documents. The only other email that you have received, comes from feefo asking for feedback. We ask for this feedback, as it helps us improve the products and services we offer. We apologise if this email caused you any distress. We’re sorry that the claim took a little longer than usual, this is usually due to the difficulty of obtaining the paperwork from the car hire companies. Following a Competition and Markets Authority inquiry, 5 of the biggest car hire firms in Europe have promised to act on customer complaints: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-33509683. We are looking at this with our underwriters now to determine whether we may make some changes in order to keep pace with the new fees being levied by some of the car hire companies.
