That said, we are truly sorry for the disappointment caused regarding the seating class on the Glacier Express. We understand your expectations were set for First-Class travel, and we sincerely apologise that this was not fulfilled on this occasion. Regrettably, our Operations team were unable to secure First-Class tickets for the full group on the required date, despite their best efforts. As a result, Second-Class tickets were arranged to ensure that all guests could still enjoy this iconic journey together. While the difference between First and Second Class is relatively subtle both offering panoramic windows and access to the same spectacular Alpine views we appreciate that seating arrangements and onboard service can influence the overall experience. We're sorry that the quality of the meal did not meet expectations, and that guests were not advised of the change in advance. We understand how this impacted the mood of the group and apologise sincerely for the lack of communication. Your comments are valuable and have been shared with the relevant teams to help improve how we manage expectations and communicate unavoidable changes in future.
