Based on Dental Departure's investigation - Sea Smile Dental Clinic provided the following summary = In this case, we have a patient with multiple congenital diseases and a regular regimen of various medications. The patient independently ceased taking their medications prior to a scheduled dental procedure, which poses significant risks due to the potential for excessive bleeding during surgical interventions.
Upon learning that the patient had stopped their medication without medical advice, our clinic prioritized patient safety by requesting a medical clearance from the patient's personal doctor. This clearance was necessary to confirm it was safe to proceed without the blood thinner. However, the patient's doctor advised against undergoing the planned dental procedures at our clinic in Thailand.
Despite this medical advice, the patient was determined to proceed with the treatment in Thailand. To accommodate the patient's wishes while ensuring safety, our clinic arranged for a comprehensive physical examination at a hospital. This step was to determine whether the patient could safely undergo the 'All on 4' dental implant procedure under either general anesthesia at the hospital or local anesthesia at the clinic.
The 'All on 4' technique involves placing four dental implants that support a full set of prosthetic teeth. Given the patient's complex medical background, this procedure required careful consideration and planning.
The hospital visit introduced additional potential costs. If the procedure needed to be performed under general anesthesia at the hospital, the patient would incur extra charges of approximately THB 120,000 (around AUD 5,000). The patient expressed dissatisfaction with these additional costs, feeling that they should be covered by the clinic or Dental Departure.
Ultimately, Sea Smile wanted to ensure your safety (given your pre-existing health conditions) and it required a hospital stay which ultimately increased your cost of dental care.

Please get this correct : Firstly : I do not have any desease or sicknesses my medications are all taken as a safety net for my own health insurances. As the Bangkok hospital will verify. Second : My criticism of my situation with my dental work is at Dental Departures ,as they did not qualify and prepare the information for Sea Smile . They glossed over information that was important for the dentist. Dental departures are the failing step in this whole arrangements. sea Smile are fantastic. Please get this story correct.
