Malabrigo Arroyo - Escorias (054) - Malabrigo Arroyo is a fabulous 5 ply (sport weight) superwash merino yarn, hand dyed in small batches to achieve the most glorious colourways imagineable! This beautiful sportweight yarn is perfect for your finer gauge projects, and could even be used with a DK pattern (change your needle size to achieve the correct tension). Made in Uruguay, Malarigo Arroyo has beautiful stitch definition, and the shades are as dreamy as their names; Jupiter, Aguas, Prussia Blue and Archangel - we love English Rose and Lavanda! Malabrigo yarn is hand-dyed, meaning that each beautiful skein is unique. As a result, there may be variations in colour between skeins of the same shade. PLEASE NOTE: This yarn has no dye lots.. Hello, Thanks for taking the time to provide us with your feedback. Malabrigo yarns are dyed by hand in such small batches, that colour can vary from skein to skein. They recommend "blending" multiple skeins together, as if you are mixing dye lots. If only a little information sheet had been included with this wool. It’s too late now as I’m more than half way through a very patchy garment. This wool should come with a warning in the label to mix every few rows.

Your website doesn’t even warn that these need to be mixed in closely. Why not put the link to the above blog post in a clear warning box on the product description rather than explaining it afterwards as part of a review? I’m actually even more fed up and disappointed now.

Having just looked at your main competitors website “WW” they state this. If I had bought from them I’d have realised what I needed to do: “ All Malabrigo yarns are kettle dyed in small batches and often don't have a dye lot, which means the colours are likely to vary from skein to skein, even within the same batch. To ensure random colour distribution, try working from two balls of yarn at once, alternating a few rows from each ball. Be sure to get enough yarn to complete your project as the next batch we receive could be very different!”

It is a soft wonderful wool. The natural colour wool is easy to dye. The plies make it a little more difficult to knit. But what a pleasure to knit this wool!
