Sorry to hear that you felt the process was a little cumbersome, that is never our intention so please accept our apologies for that.
Unfortunately, because of the nature of the fault, the elapsed time from the claim first being reported, through to us being able to finalise things for you and the repairer not following the process in communicating their findings to us correctly - yes, there was more information that we required to be sent in than normal to enable us to clarify the information that what we needed.
It did also, regrettably complicate the issue when it was established that the repairs had been completed prior to us authorising any costs...
