Hi Shaw, Throughout the planning process both ourselves and our partners in Madagascar worked diligently to accommodate your requests and requirements. You were originally booked for October 2023 and when you decided last minute to not travel and rather postpone due to a very minor event in the capital city we managed to get all the cancellation fees waived with the only difference in cost being the difference in rates from 2023 to 2024 and the airline change fees. Despite us managing to waive the last minute cancellation costs you were not happy with this outcome. Once everything was rebooked for travel in 2024 Kristin had many emails with you as well as phone calls especially in the lead up to your travel dates. Your final trip documents were sent a month prior to travel as is our standard process for all travellers. Included as part of the information shared were the 24/7 in country support phone numbers which all travellers receive. When you wanted additional support both Kristin and Daniel provided their personal mobile and Whatsapp numbers. There were many additional emails and phones calls from when you received your final trip documents until the day of departure which our team answered diligently and on time. As part of your chosen itinerary you visited a number of remote and off the beaten path locations within Madagascar. In each location you stayed in some of the best available accommodation for that area and in many cases the best hotel. We've also had many previous guests stay in these properties without issue. It is true that in some locations it is standard that the generator is turned off during the evening period until early mornings. When it transpired you were travelling with a CPAP machine and needed 24/7 electricity, despite not informing us of this at any stage in the planning process, we immediately liaised with the hotel in question and made arrangements and payment for the generator to be turned back on for you. Throughout your journey the moment you raised an issue we did our best to try and resolve it. As discussed when you returned home Madagascar, it is still very much a developing destination with limited infrastructure and unfortunately in this instance it seems like Madagascar was not a good fit for you.
