We did respond to you directly by email as soon as you contacted us, explaining the nature of your Irish Oak tree gift. As a deciduous tree, it arrives in its winter dormant phase; something we carefully explain on our website and on the care card enclosed with every tree. While it may look bare at this time of year, it is very much alive and preparing to burst into leaf in spring. In our email, we offered two clear options: • to keep the tree with our spring growth guarantee; if it did not come into leaf, we would replace it immediately, no quibbles • or a full refund, should you wish to return the tree to us. We completely understand that returning a gift can feel inconvenient, but as with all living plants, we do need the item returned before a refund can be processed. This is standard practice and explained openly in our policies. We care deeply about every tree we send and every story behind it. We never dismiss concerns, and we’re always happy to continue the conversation; our email support remains open should you wish to revisit this. We truly wish this experience had ended differently and are sorry it caused disappointment. 🌱
