Hi Rin,
Sorry about your experience - however, I have spoken to the business you are referring to and he tells a different story. He is very clear that he told you that for him to come on a Saturday and fix the issue was $250. He said you paid him on Saturday and were happy with the job (as you could now get your car out) and then rung him on Sunday and asked him why you paid so much.
It was an emergency job - which the tradie told you his minimum - you agreed, he fixed the issue.
You had 4 other quotes to choose from if you wanted a cheaper price.
So - lets be transparent here - if you are going to leave us a 1 star Review please tell the full story.

Hi, thank you for your quick reply! I am happy to provide you the full story just to make things clear.
I posted my requirement on Sat from your website and got a call back from Mark. before he contacted me, I didn't get a chance to check my email. He said over the phone to me he could come in 10 mins to check the prob (no pricing is mentioned here). I need my gate to be fixed urgently, so I agreed him to come. Once he popped on site before conducting his work, he told me:"I charge $250 for 2 hours. let me check first". I said ok to it because I respect the price tradie charges for their work and I agree with this rate. It took about 20 mins for him to move the door manually as he couldn't fix the root cause which is sitting with the controlling machine. I understand it and I was happy for the fact that my car got released from the backyard at least. I asked Mark after he done the work how much I should pay him as I was expecting an hourly cost. Mark replied "$250". I double checked with him "is this your minimum charge?" He confirmed it. OK. I didn't argue on the site because this is the price he mentioned in the beginning of the work and I literally agreed even I might misunderstood his meaning.
Then in the evening, I got time to check my email finally after a crazy day, I noticed there're quite a few responses from different businesses with quotes. Mark's is one of them showing "$100/hour" and apparently his quote seems to be the cheapest compares to the others who quoted "200" and "$350". After I saw the actual quote he gave originally, I felt it is necessary to contact him to clarify his charges. Throughout the whole conversation over the phone on Sunday, he repeatedly mention $250 was him minimum charge. He never say a word about Urgency call or Saturday work. He said he couldn't put down his 2 hours rate on your website. I hang up the phone without continue arguing with him eventually.
Here are the full story. Throughout the whole thing, I need to pointed out:
1. "I charge $250 for 2 hours" is the only sentence Mark said about cost before conducting the job. He said it once on site, no explanation, not mentioned over the initial phone call.
2. "$250 is my minimum charge" is what he confirmed after the job is done and he claimed it over the Sunday phone conversation. He didn't mention anything about "Urgent job. Saturday rate" during the whole story. I heard it from your reply above just now. And he never said $250 was his minimum charge before any stage of his completion of the job
3. Mark quoted $100/ hour on your site, which should add up to $200 for 2 hours if he charge 2 hours minimum, NOT $250. Also the hourly rate quote implies he charge on hourly basis instead of 2 hours. Anyway, I can't find anywhere about this 250 figure in his quote and he never explain it before he conducted his work.
4. I logged the job on Sat and I do mentioned in the request it is urgent, whatever he quoted should base on these 2 facts. I will be surprised to find out extra charge aside from the quote due to these 2 reasons.
Finally, as I left review to him, I am not questioning his prof work. However, as a customer, I don't like this kind of inconsistency/ misleading prices. With least requirement, I am expecting a more honest and transparent quote.
