We are also on the of the very few, again if any, who offer customers a jumbo sample service. In return for £9.00 including VAT and postage, customers receive a large strip of fabric measuring 130cm x 25cm approximately. This is especially useful when customers need to see a large repeat design where a cutting will only show a small area. Most sites will insist on customers ordering a minimum of 1 metre. The idea behind jumbo samples is the same as buying a sample pot of paint before buying a full tin. The cost of £9.00 becomes less significant if, for example, a customer is looking to upholster a sofa where they could end up spending £400 plus. Compared to a sample pot of paint which is on average roughly £4.00, and a full tin £25 approx, this is not a substantial investment in order to be certain before going ahead.
