We also agree that it is a shame that your concierge gave you incorrect information about our complimentary pickup policy. With over 300 places to stay in Las Vegas it simply is not feasible to offer pickup at every property in the Las Vegas valley. We are sorry for the delay you experienced being picked up, however Las Vegas is currently dealing with construction for the upcoming 2nd annual Formula 1 race and that this creating a traffic mess with unscheduled lane/road closures. Thank you for having chosen Gray Line for your Grand Canyon sightseeing experience and we are very sorry for missing your expectations. From your description of the day it would seem that our driver/guide Tony had some issues properly communicating with you. We are very sorry for this and we will be subjecting Tony to additional customer training and we will be subjecting him to increased supervision over the coming weeks. We do hope that you enjoyed your helicopter ride as there is nothing quite so spectacular as the bird's eye view you receive as you descend 4000 feet to the bottom the Grand Canyon. Thank you for having chosen Gray Line and we are sorry for the elevator issues affecting the Hoover Dam powerplant tours affected your day. Rather than being a Gray Line issue, the problem you experienced originates with the operators of the Hoover Dam, the US Federal Government. A few years back the elevators they use for their tours experienced age related problems that caused problems for nearly a year. Once fixed everything returned to normal, yet about a year later they are back to having issues. The remedies they use for trying to accommodate visitors change on a daily basis and tour companies are trying their best to create the best visitor experience possible under the circumstances. While this definitely impacts the visitor experience at Hoover Dam, it does not take away from the amazing & spectacular engineering achievement that is the beautiful Hoover Dam. While we are sorry that these issues affected your day, anyone reading back the last few months in social media posts will find that Gray Line still enjoys on social media an over 90 percent 5 star rating on our Hoover Dam tours. We will be reviewing your trip experience with our driver/guide to understand better what happened, as we do expect all of our Grand Canyon West Rim tours to have approximately 4 hours at the West Rim.
