Thank you for taking the time to leave us your feedback. It's clear from your comments that the messages we sent after you lost your pet and asked us to cancel the policy were not appropriate. We would now like to apologise for that now – it’s never our intention to cause any distress or upset, but I can see how receiving those reminder emails after you'd asked us not to renew the policy could have been construed.I’m very sorry that we got it wrong on this occasion. When I looked in to this, it was found that the emails you received were all generated and sent automatically. As a direct result of your feedback we are going to change the procedures that control who receives these automatic communications in the future. Our aim to is to prevent a repeat of what you have experienced. We have tried to contact you by phone several times to discuss the matter in more detail - but weren't able to get through on the number we hold for you. An email has also been sent to you to acknowledge your feedback. I’m sorry that we weren’t able to talk on the phone, but we'd like you to know that we’ve taken your feedback seriously and that we’ve changed as a result.
