Thank you for finding the time to send us some feedback. The safety and comfort of all of our guests is our top priority. Therefore we visit less challenging sites with first day guests so that they can do a shake-down dive which is standard practice with all the good Red Sea dive centres. I noticed that, on your first day, you went to Marsa Abu Galawa and Sachwa Abu Galawa which are felt to be beautiful sites, with shallow areas (4-5m)and deeper areas (25+m) and therefore suitable for all. The weather is a major consideration too. Unfortunately we had no prior information from your tour operator allowing us to plan for your group however I'm pleased that, when your group leader approached me, we were able to change the programme to one that more closely met your requirements. Throughout the Red Sea, dive centres charge extra for Special Trips and I am very pleased the weather allowed us to arrange dives on Salem Express and the Rosalie Moller, both spectacular world class wrecks. We are very sorry that you found some of the sites tame and uninteresting but feel that, on the whole, your group departed satisfied with the service and saying they would return. Thank you for your feedback. We welcome all feedback, both good and bad as it allows us to review our systems and see where we can make improvements. I am sorry you did not find the guides motivated but surprised as most of the feedback I receive suggests they are very positive and willing to assist. I will discuss this with the guides but I recall I guided you on your last day in a group of only 7. On the subject of guide to diver ratio we operate within the Red Sea guidelines of 1:12 and, as was the case during your trip, often less. In some other locations this is much higher. We employ a majority of instructor level guides rather than divemasters and always try our best to provide extra assistance where required for new divers. We have to balance the needs of experienced divers who are safe to dive with a buddy having listened to the briefing, with those who prefer to be close to the guide. However with safety being our main concern we feel the ratio's we employ are fit for purpose. I fully understand your point and can assure you we are always willing to be flexible if we are aware that a diver prefers to dive alongside the guide or as an alternative arrange a private guide.
