Thank you very much for your thoughtful feedback on the John Muir Way. We regret to hear that the trail wasn't quite what you hoped. It was originally constructed with the idea of enticing non-hikers out into the countryside, and to provide a series of approachable links between some of Scotland's tourist sites, but the paved surfaces that make it seem less dauntingly rugged to newcomers definitely have their drawbacks. We're sorry that impacted your enjoyment of your holiday.
