The big advantage of using the HDMI ARC port is that it lets your TV control the speaker, so any remote that controlled your TV before will also control the AV855. Most of the time this happens automatically as soon as the speaker is plugged in, but occasionally a setting needs to be adjusted first. Every TV has a setting for CEC (Consumer Electronics Control), though different manufacturers use different names for it. Samsung calls it Anynet+, LG calls it SIMPLINK, and Sony calls it BRAVIA Sync, for example. This setting needs to be turned on for the TV to control the volume, mute, and power functions of the soundbar. You can usually find it under the TV's HDMI settings menu. Thanks for your feedback. This model doesn't have any mounting points on the back, so wall mounting can take a little extra effort to get right. That said, plenty of customers have found ways to mount it successfully. Since the AV855 doesn't have threaded mounting points, we'd suggest looking into soundbar wall mount brackets (these attach directly to the wall) or soundbar hanger brackets (these connect to your TV's existing wall mount so the speaker hangs from the TV itself). Either way, you'll want a bracket that creates a small shelf for the speaker to rest on, along with some way to secure it in place, whether that's double sided tape on the bottom or a clamping mechanism. Keep in mind the right bracket can depend on your wall type, so you may need one designed specifically for your wall's structure.
