Please appreciate that the shipping cost is a standard charge which is the same irrespective of the size, quantity or weight of what is ordered. Unfortunately that does mean that when someone only orders one very light item it might seem disproportionately expensive but I assure you that in general we do not make any money at all on shipping – it is very much a loss-making side to the business, as it is for most large retailers.
