We received this order roughly 10 days before our warehouse closed for Christmas. At the time of receipt we were out of stock in this fabric but we were expecting a delivery to arrive with us within a few days and in time to ship before the Christmas break. Goods did not arrive as expected however and delivery was put back until after the Christmas holidays. Unfortunately this was not communicated to the client for which we sincerely apologise. Whilst not wishing to offer excuses it is true to say that in the period immediately before Christmas our warehouse is under extreme pressure to expedite goods and as a consequence this slipped through the net. Once the issue became apparent the order was cancelled and no monies were taken. We are truly sorry to have inconvenienced a customer in this way. Our business is built on offering high levels of service and communication, which I believe is supported by the vast majority of feedback comments shown here, but I freely accept that in this case these standards were not maintained. I have checked into this in the meantime and whilst I cannot be 100% sure about why the customer was not kept better informed, it is clear that mistakes were made in terms of communication. I wish to apologise to this customer again for failing to keep her correctly advised on the status of her order and as a result we have put extra checks in place to try and avoid a recurrence of this type of issue in the future. We take great care to ensure that we send out correct goods - however mistakes can occur in spite of our best efforts. Sometimes goods are delivered into us with an incorrect reference on them and if this is not picked up at point of receipt then potentially the wrong reference can be put into stock. If this happens then the wrong fabric can be sent out by mistake which is what we suspect has happened here. The client has sent a sample which we have just received and we will be replacing goods with the correct reference as soon as possible. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
