All aviation grade cable is like that. I've not heard anyone else complain about this and cannot see it being an issue for 99% of installations. Sorry you had a problem with it.

None of the manufacturers supply mounting screws. That is up to the installer to source. Sorry you had a problem with sourcing the additional parts that you required.
