Thank you for your review. I have tried to call you today to discuss this but unfortunately you have declined to speak to me.I have now taken the time to look into your case to establish what has made you so upset that you have had to pay £65.89 for our services. You signed a legally binding contract with our company on 04/12/2014. Your expectation of us as a company was that we should uncover any PPI policies you may have paid for and subsequently make claims on your behalf. You asked us to look into possible PPI with 2 banks, but you did not have any paperwork or account numbers to support your claim that you believed PPI had been mis sold. The first bank came back to us and provided evidence that you had never paid PPI. The second bank showed that you had paid PPI on a credit card. Unfortunately, when the bank investigated the complaint, it was their belief that contrary to your statements, they had not mis sold the PPI. After a long discussion with you, as you were so aggrieved that the bank that you had no paperwork for had actually mis sold you PPI, you wanted us to pursue the complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service. It was explained to you both verbally and in written form that PPI complaints can sometimes take in excess of 2 year. Unfortunately, this has happened with your complaint. The complaint continued and due to the time that had elapsed, we wrote to you in January of this year to get an updated letter of authority. You chose not to return that. I should point out that at this point, you were in breach of the legally binding contract that you had previously signed. At this time, at our discretion, we could have raised a service invoice based on the work carried out by ourselves. We chose not to do this as we were confident that that we could get your case resolved. The mis selling complaint was also rejected by the Financial Ombudsman Service as they also felt that the bank had not mis sold you PPI. It was discovered though that the bank had not made you aware of the extent of commission they were receiving as a result of selling you PPI.The Financial Ombudsman Service made us aware that you had received a small sum of money because of the commission aspect. Again, it is worth noting that you failed in your obligation to make us aware of any developments (another breach of contract). We raised an invoice and you contacted us to advise we shouldnt be raising any invoice. We sent you the signed legally binding contract and you agreed that we were correct and that you would pay the invoice. You then raised the issue that our invoice amount was too high. It was very quickly discovered that we had made a mistake and we very advised you to ignore the first invoice and we would send an amended version with the correct fee rate. This was done and you have very kindly paid this very quickly.Therefore, after all this time, I have to conclude that for the fee of £65.89 (based on a percentage of money you received), weve actually done a very good job for you as you didnt have any account numbers and you were wrong that the bank had mis sold PPI.
