We're very glad you otherwise enjoyed your tour! For any prospective walker looking to shorten those longer days mentioned, we would recommend going for the COTW5 and higher itineraries, as these reduce the longest days considerably.

Yes, the first part of the North Wales Coast Path in particular is very urban compared to our usual offerings, and we're used to requests to shorten and amend it slightly from those who aren't fans of industrial walking. We generally recommend our Highlights tour as the more scenic option. Your bicycle comment is true (or at least feels about right - I haven't done the maths!) but we should warn anyone considering that option that the 25% you couldn't cycle includes some of the best bits, particularly after Llanfairchan with those great views over Lavan Sands towards Anglesey. A lot of the path along the prettiest coast is dedicated footpath rather than bridleway. It still sounds like it could be a good trip, though, absolutely.
