The 'Deferred Order' refers to the payment. We don't take any payment until your order is processed. So that's why you get the email, it refers to the payment. I'll look in to editing the email so it's clearer.
As for the edge on the Kukri, they're designed to have a good utility edge, which means they're not sharp. However, as it's a high-carbon steel then you can easily sharpen them up to whatever sharpness you like (that's why we sell the Puck to go with it). It does make sense too, as a machete is not a cutting tool, it's a hacking and chopping tool. Which means that it will go blunt, so it does make sense that you have the ability to re-sharpen it.
