We are aware of some problems regarding a small shipment of orders which were dispatched from our Jersey nursery on 16th and 17th September. Unfortunately due to severe winds in the English Channel the ferry service to and from the Island was disrupted. Weather conditions were so poor that some services were forced to be cancelled completely resulting in a bottleneck of mail leaving Jersey by air to go into the Royal Mail System. This led to some orders for plug plants being held in a depot for much longer than normal – with the consequences obvious on receipt of the goods. I have contacted the customer regarding this order. There was a problem with quality but it was explained I had been sent the last trees on their premises. All was sorted very fairly, pleasantly and with speed.
