In regards to your accommodation, many Australians do find Japanese hotels to be smaller than what they are accustomed to. This is something that is found across Japan. As you may have noted, many hotel rooms in Japan are smaller than what most Aussie travellers are used to. We're happy to hear that you were satisfied with the quality of the hotels, but we will take your comments on board in regards to your Kanazawa hotel. Thanks again for your feedback!

Thank you for this feedback, John. To answer your question, we do offer guests a choice of carrier (subject to availability). In regards to seating, this is an issue that you would need to take up with the airline. Unfortunately, seating arrangements can never be guaranteed for a number of reasons, though we are sorry to hear that you and your wife were not able to sit next to one another on your homeward flight. Regarding your stop at Matsumoto Castle, this is one of Japan's last surviving feudal era castles and is a highlight of the trip. As such, the interior has been preserved and does not feature modern conveniences. While we understand that some people may not have been able to ascend to the top of the castle, they would have been more than welcome to explore the bottom levels and the moon viewing room, as well as the castle park. In regards to the service provided by your tour guide, we will take your feedback on board and ensure that it is passed on to our Japan-based team.
