After much fruitless searching in the map area of the website, I have now come across the download area hidden away under the product registration tab. When I first purchased my venture s7000 I did register it and installed a Ventura downloader on my pc, I thought this was downloading all the updates I needed but I find it just updates speed camera information. I also didn’t realise that when I purchased a new product it wouldn’t have the latest mapping installed on it. I also thought that I would be entitled to the latest mapping for the first year after purchase. The website was not at all clear about the strict 30 day rule which I would question the legality of. So I went to Spain and Portugal where there are a lot of new roads, for 3 months and found the sat nav would get hopelessly lost very often. When I came home, I contacted Snooper and was told the only solution was to pay £100 for the latest updates which I have now done. Even then I just received a SD card in the post with no information with it at all. Nothing to say you needed to download the latest mapping onto this if you could find the place on the website to do this. Doe’s this also have to be done within 30 days? Is this is a one off or I can get further updates with this purchase: The fact that your latest version of the Ventura comes with free mapping for life according to your advertising just leaves me feeling like a mug Add to this the far from brilliant performance of the actual sat nav and I don’t think you can be surprised to find this has left me with a very negative view of Snooper.
