I was sorry to read that we did not meet your expectations on this course. I can advise that the ratio of 5 students to 1 instructor is recommended by the RYA and most sailing schools operate on this basis.  5 students is the maximum (ofren there are less on board) and in our case, unlike many other schools out there, we operate larger yachts 39-44 foot as tuition yachts with 3  cabins and 2 sh/wc's (one of which is en- suite).  Having a guest sleeping in the saloon is common practice, though it is the case that the guest would know about this at the time of booking without fail. In fact we do give single travellers the opportunity to upgrade to a single occupancy cabin at a modest supplement.  

Having mixed ability students doing a combination of Competent Crew and Day Skipper is in accordence with RYA guidlines and typical of most sailing schools. Much of the content is common to both courses, whilst all should benefit from the additional material covered.

I am sorry you feel so strongly about it. My point is that you will find the same on virtually any shared tuition yacht with most RYA sailing schools. Obviously we respect the fact you have a choice  and the best of luck to you.

*Accommodation on board is in double / twin / single cabins or saloon berth. Sheets, pillow cases, pillows, blankets / duvets and towels are all provided.

*Instructor / student ratio is maintained at a maximum of 5 students per instructor, in line with RYA codes of practice.
