Our surveyors are very diligent and that is why we have so many customers who are delighted with their purchase. A comprehensive survey of any kitchen we sell is fundamental to the service we provide and differentiates us from other on-line purchase channels such as ebay and our competitors, where buyers don't really know what they are buying until they get there to collect it.
We fully understand your disappointment with regards to VAT, however, any business providing a service has to charge this. If you were selling a house the estate agent would have to charge it too. We cannot avoid it I'm afraid. The good news is that VAT is only payable on our fee, not the sales value of the kitchen, so the figure is relatively small in comparison with the return to you. Whilst we realise your frustration, it was clearly stated on the Terms of Business that you were sent when you first came to us, but if you haven't had time to read these it is clear how the mis-understanding has arisen.
