DAY LIGHT ROBBERY!!

I am only giving a 1 Star review because the Direct Debit charges of £25+ per policy is day light robbery. If my premium is only around £100, paying by DD is like a 25% increase just to pay you!!!...

Thank you for providing feedback on your recent experience with Qdos and I am sorry to hear that you are dissatisfied with the service.The £23.00 Direct Debit administration fee is applied per application not per policy if you choose to pay via Direct Debit and is applied each year you continue with us on a direct debit basis. The direct debit administration fee covers the additional administration that goes into collecting, chasing and marking off payments each month compared to an annual application. The benefit of paying monthly is you will face no cancellation charges if you cancel mid-term, whereas there would be a £20.00 cancellation fee per policy. Also your protection is automatically renewed each year, which saves you time on processing a renewal each year. Stephanie, yes I have been a customer for over 10 years and the discount you gave was because I kicked off about the DD charge. The fee does apply per policy if (like me) you have multiple policies all being renewed at different times. When I calculated the cost of cancelling the policies and restarting them to “save” having multiple DD fees it made absolutely no sense. I believe QDOS are within their rights to charge, however, like with all these types of fees they will end up being regulated so you can’t rip customers off. Just like the Credit Card surcharging this is unfair, unjustified and totally there to increase your profits without providing any benefit to the Customer.
