Thank you for your feedback.Following implementation of the upcoming IR35 reforms, clients will become responsible for issuing status determination statements in relation to their contractors. Many of these firms do not have in-house IR35 expertise and have sought external assistance with the status determination process.Our Status Review service aims to assist firms in their compliance with the reforms: we facilitate the contractor's involvement in the process, ensure that all key elements of an engagement are considered, and provide an independent assessment of the contractor's status. The client is then responsible for verifying the accuracy of the assessment and for issuing a status determination to the contractor.The client has the option to absorb the cost of the service, or to pass them on to their contractors. By providing this option we have found that more clients have been encouraged to take a fair approach to their assessments, as opposed to using the likes of CEST or banning contractors altogether (a particularly negative outcome for contractors).We do appreciate that for some, particularly those who have used our assessment services in the past, being asked to pay a fee for our Status Review service may be unwelcome, however, it is important to remember that the reforms introduce a different set of rules and responsibilities for the parties involved. As you are a customer with Qdos, we provide you with an Account Manager so you can arrange call back requests. I am sorry to hear that when called upon this did not happen. You would have received calls scheduled by your Account Manager for renewal notifications but you renewed before this scheduled contact was due. Thank you for renewing with Qdos despite this experience and I can assure you your Account Manager would have been in touch before your policy lapsed.
