I was told that machines can't read so don't bother using careful tape or up this way it's a waste of money!

Thank you very much for taking the time to give us your feedback. Firstly, please accept our apologies for the damage to your shipment. As a parcel network is in part automated, it is not recommended that 'careful' or 'fragile' tape is used - the machines are unable to read these. From your order I can see that the item you sent was a tabletop dishwasher - unfortunately this item would be classed as an own risk item. Items which are sent at a customer's own risk are items which can easily be damaged without sufficient packaging and which are not particularly suited to a parcel network. Many thanks for your feedback. The price advertised is for shipments from the UK to Europe, starting at only £14.50+vat. Your shipment was an import from France, which also starts at only £14.50+vat up to 5kg. Our team are on hand to answer any questions at all regarding the pricing available on the website. The volumetric weight of your parcel was 12kg, which therefore put the price up slightly on this occasion. Shipments are priced based on the volumetric weight or the actual weight of your parcel, whichever is the greater. We are confident that our prices, especially to and from France, are extremely competitive and that our service is of the highest quality - my apologies if you feel the pricing was in any way misleading.
