Hi Michelle Thanks for your feedback and we are glad you enjoyed your time on the Camino Portugues. We are always trying to keep our walking notes as accurate and up-to-date as possible, which is a challenge as directions and landmarks can change from time to time when local councils introduce alternative paths through towns and villages, or when new businesses erect different signage. We are addressing these challenges by creating a mobile app especially for our clients that automatically takes the latest directions from a mapping system and also provides a feature to alert you when you go too far off the recommended track. We will also be showing distances between different rest stops and cafes - that is a great suggestion, thank you. Regards, Sean

We know there are challenges keeping the walking notes as accurate and up-to-date as possible, mainly because directions and landmarks change from time to time when local councils introduce alternative paths through towns. We have just launched a mobile app especially for our clients that automatically takes the latest directions from a mapping system and also provides a feature to alert you when you go too far off the recommended track. Hi Lisa Thank you very much for providing this constructive feedback. We appreciate that you had a largely positive experience, however you felt letdown by our walking note directions at one stage, resulting in doubling back after some distance in order to reach your chosen hotel. We are sorry that you found the walking notes somewhat outdated. This is always a challenge to keep directions 100% accurate as there are often minor route changes as a result of town/village councils altering the actual paths or signage. Following your feedback, we actually sent a team member out to walk the route again and to update the notes. We have also launched a mobile app with directions being automatically taken from a mapping system, so this will make it even easier for our clients to navigate and avoid issues like yours in the future.
