Initial service was very good but when my Mi Bike ear pieces failed due to water ingress after 12 months I did not expect to have to pay what I paid for a replacement set.

Dear Richard, I am sorry that your experience with us didn't quite match your expectations. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. We'll strive to do better. Unfortunately, ear wax is very individual and that is why we always recommend to our customers to look after their products. Testing in our lab confirmed both ear pieces have failed due to moisture ingresses which is a result from the product not being left to dry out properly. As this is not covered by our warranty policy we have offered a brand new pair with a very special price and I hope that you will be satisfied with it. As I have mention moisture ingress is not covered by our warranty policy due to it being very individual. To avoid this we always recommend to our customers to look after their products. The original ear impressions had to be done three times before a usable set was made. The completed plugs were sent to the wrong address.
Having said that, Minerva tried hard to put things right...
They are very helpful and, relatively local the where I live, which makes using them all the easier that some alternative providers.
The earplugs are very comfortable even with a tight fitting...
