I’ve had a look through and discussed with Gill. Unfortunately it’s as I thought, they made the offer when we went into lockdown and nothing could progress. The seller took a while to find something and the sales memo was not sent out until 27th July. There was a chain of 5, so we had to try and appease everyone with regards to dates. It eventually completed on Friday of last week and his partner, who was the one we tended to communicate with throughout brought Gill in a box of chocolates as a thank you. I appreciate his frustration, they were ready to go pretty much from April/May, however the rest of the chain were not. His partner used to knock on the door and discuss how things were progressing, so they knew what was happening. I’m not sure how he was planning to complete in May or June when he knew the seller had not even started to view houses yet due to lockdown.
