I can see that you placed your order on the 6th December and it was dispatched the same day so it would appear that the courier has let us down on this occasion. While Royal Mail suggests to expect delivery to Europe within 3-5 working days and then to wait a further 10 working days before we can claim the parcel to be lost, it may be delayed due to the busy festive period. We will re-send your order via a premium delivery service to ensure you receive your order as quickly as possible now. Thanks for your comments, we're always working on ways to improve this. We've recently switched a lot of our shipping packaging to recyclable pulped cardboard, and are constantly looking for a cost effective alternative to the jiffy bags. We have trialled several but so far have been cost prohibitive or just not very protective. When it comes down to the actual containers the capsules are packed into themselves, then things get a little more complex. We do use some glass containers but it's not a great solution, it's heavier (greater carbon footprint), more expensive, and more easily damaged thus necessitating more shipping packaging - which is obviously counter-productive. Bearing in mind that the container itself has to be certified food grade, it becomes very difficult to find commercially viable alternatives to plastic or glass. That said, we do feel like we might have a solution on the horizon. In the new year, we are hoping to trial 100% home compostable packaging - zero plastic! In the meantime though, please be aware that although we do use plastic containers (for now), they are of course recyclable, and you may be interested to know that we have ISO 140001 accreditation as testament to our commitment to sustainability. We also get all of our electricity from 100% renewable sources so all Metabolics products are manufactured here in the UK, using 100% green energy.
