Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback about your recent trip with Grandstand Motor Sports to the Imola Grand Prix. We wanted to come back to you on the points you raised. We experienced a lot of interest in the Imola Grand Prix this year. Our initial package sold out quickly so as a result of continued demand, we were able to source a revised package with different flights and a different hotel. At this point, the flights into Bologna were very expensive, but we were able to source others flights into Florence (just over an hour from Bologna) at a much more cost effective rate. Bologna airport has a limited number of flights from the UK, so it made sense to offer the Florence flights. The Hotel Mitico was not advertised on our website as being in the centre of Bologna. As it was F1 weekend in Bologna, any centrally located hotels with availability were at a premium, whereas the Hotel Mitico represented much better value, with the option for customers to travel to and from Bologna in the evenings by a short taxi ride. As our customers’ primary reason for travelling with us is for the F1 action, our priority is to source quality hotels that offer good access for getting to and from the circuit.
