Balancing accommodation choices is often difficult when clients have varying preferences. The Western Algarve tour does have hotels in towns (Silves, Lagos, Sagres)but many people appreciate the history of these places and would like to be based in the towns. Aljezur and Monchique (last two nights) are rural locations quite different from those on the coast. On the whole we feel the accommodation choices are quite well-balanced on this holiday. This holiday to Rioja was a guided holiday in 2013 but changed to a self-guided holiday in 2014. Unfortunately our website did not make this clear, and this client was a victim of our error. Compensation was paid to the client to offset his frustration. The holiday is now correctly described as a self-guided holiday on our website. Phil Cree General Manager Freewheel Holidays
