The set is reall wonderfull. My son is 1,5 years old and this is our second set of Doddl Cuttlery, because, after he got the hang of it, one just wasn't enough to have it ready for every meal....
Our third set, this time for the grandparents. They requested it after seeing how much better our son can eat with this compared to their usual kids cutlery set.
We purchased them for our cooking lessons at primary school.They are excellent for our youngest children for chopping up the vegetables and fruit. The children love using them. Even our year 6...
I think that the cutlery is a great idea but think the material of the handle needs to be rethought. When my little boy has food on his hand or water he finds them very hard to hold as they slip out...
Great products. My 2 year old son has always used the fork and spoon & nursery staff comment on how well he handles cutlery.
Also bought the carry case which is really handy for out and about.
While it was encouraging to see so many babies using the set and eating well on Instagram, the rounded handles are simply too heavy for my 14 month old. The stainless steel fork doesn’t seem that...

Many thanks for taking the time to give your feedback, we wanted to provide some additional information in response to your review. Doddl children’s cutlery is aimed at children from 12+ months. However some children start with the cutlery before 12 months and feel the benefit immediately, others are older than 12 months and take a bit longer, because they are ultimately learning a new life skill. In terms of the weight, the handles have been carefully designed with experts to ensure young children get a strong awareness of holding the cutlery in their hands, which is important for developing control and to help them feel secure when using the cutlery. If you’ve ever tried using one of those disposable plastic cutlery sets, you’ll hopefully understand how very light weight can actually be harder to manage compared to metal cutlery :-) The fork prongs are certified safe but are designed to be functional and to avoid children getting frustrated with blunt ends (which is a reason many children resort to fingers). We recommend Doddl baby cutlery for the first cutlery set, because it allows little ones to get past the face bumping stage with the more rounded and softer plastic ends, whilst they initially improve their control and coordination and then they can progress onto the metal ended cutlery.
