We appreciate your frustration in regards to this matter; currently, licencing arrangements mean that Designers Guild is unable to ship to areas outside of their specific market. This means that Designers Guild items are specifically designed and selected for that particular market and that duty and taxes on imported items are such that we cannot offer equivalent prices across these global markets. Items under a certain value are not charged VAT for shipment into Australia, which means that domestic international shipments are generally not charged VAT; for commercial and bulk shipments however, all our products are charged this tax and thus impacts the prices of our items. We continue to aim to offer the best available price to our international customers and we are very sorry that you feel you must inconvenience yourself by shopping with Designers Guild, however at present we cannot amend these policies.

Thank you for your feedback. We are sincerely sorry that you received damaged goods from us on two occasions, and that you felt this complaint was not dealt with efficiently. Our records show no delay in dealing with your contact with us following your notification that you had received damaged items, and that replacements were sent out immediately following the images which you had kindly sent to us. We take very seriously the matter of items damaged in transit, and we investigate each case individually to raise the matter with our couriers; I would therefore like to assure you that your complaint was dealt with effectively and efficiently by our head office staff, and we have raised a claim with our couriers into why on two occasions your order was not handled carefully during transit.
