Thank you for your feedback. We are sorry to hear that the smell which was initially noticed in your rug, is still prevalent. We do feel a degree of misunderstanding may have occurred between the services of our staff in this situation however, for which we do sincerely apologise. You are of course within your rights to return the rug back to us for a replacement, should you be dissatisfied with it, however we do advise to air rugs for a short time before lying them, and to of course get in touch with us, should the problem continue. This is because once complete, rugs are immediately rolled and sealed for shipment and storage; this smell may have arisen from the dye which when the rugs are rolled and sealed in plastic, could not aerate, and thus lingered within the fibers during storage. This is not a permanent feature however, and should dissipate with an initial airing. We advise our customers to do this initially, rather than request a replacement, as this can often be an inconvenience to our customers, and the issue is not long term. If you do however require a replacement, we are of course happy to acquiesce, and do so at no cost to yourself. Unfortunately, as our records indicated that your most recent online order for bed linen was made in excess of twelve months, we were unable to accept a claim against an item purchased after this time. If an item has an inherent fault, we feel this will be made known within the 30 days returns period outlined on our website, however of course we will always allow a reasonable amount of flexibility for an item that can be proved to have been faulty. Likewise, as you were unable to provide any original order details for the pillowcases, we were thus unable to arrange any compensation against the pillowcases. We were however, happy to arrange a refund of delivery charges on your next order with us, which was arranged promptly and as a further gesture of goodwill, we would be delighted to offer you a refund of 15% off the value of the order, to match the Mid-Season Sale, HOLIDAY15 voucher.
