Hi Karen .. I am sorry that I have not got beck to you sooner, but I have been quite ill. In fact I have been ill since I was on holiday in February. Hopefully we have found the problem and I can start and make a recovery. If I could remove the review I have made, I would and I would very much like to rephrase it. I do hope and wish that this is possible. I would prefer ... ............... Having found myself having to make my first ever claim on travel insurance I actually found it quite difficult. Having had an incident whilst on holiday I initially found the the 24 hour helpline very helpful and this made me feel that I had some support whilst abroad. It was upon my return to the UK that I was directed to the claims department. The claims form was very drawn out and confusing and it seemed that I was answering questions which were not related to my accident, I really feel this needs to be looked at. Having thought that all costs in relation to the incident would be met. I found out when I received settlement that the bulk of the settlement was taken in an excess fee. A lesson to learnt on my behalf .. for all the effort involved in making a claim, in relation to the settlement received .. I wont bother again if it is for a few hundred pounds. My mistake, I should have read the small print. Regard .. Gerard White
