This particular package is self-guided and designed to give travellers flexibility to explore independently. While it includes pre-booked accommodation and experiences, it doesn’t include transfers or a host, which is outlined in the itinerary and travel documents. We appreciate your comments and will continue to look at ways we can make this even clearer. Regarding the hotel, this is indeed a 4-star property and is rated 4.1 stars on Google with over 200 reviews. It’s located within the Lisbon city limits, but we understand that personal preferences around location and facilities can vary. We’re sorry it didn’t meet your expectations during the heatwave and will pass on the feedback to our local supplier. The Salamanca excursion is an optional experience noted in the itinerary as available at an extra cost. Likewise, port tastings are included onboard the cruise with a variety of local wines from the Douro Valley region. Gift packages are occasionally provided where applicable, but not something we advertise or guarantee, especially for international deliveries.
