We're very sorry about your problems with our courier. DX informed us that they were still working through the backlog caused by the snow and subsequent flooding, which has meant that numerous deliveries have been disrupted and delayed.

I do hope you will shop with us again in the future and allow us to show you how smoothly our service normally runs. Again, I'd like to say sorry for the delay and inconvenience caused to you.

I'm not trying to defend them. I'm simply explaining the cause for the delay. I fully agree that they should not have listed it as scheduled out for delivery, and do sincerely apologise for the fact it would have wasted your day. I do understand as we've all had this happen to us before. It's a nightmare. Normally what happens is DX will load up a van, the items will go out for delivery, but if there are significant delays, the item will not get delivered in time and have to be resent out a following day.

Again, this is completely not your fault and I'm very sorry for what has happened and that you appear to have taken my explanation in the wrong context. It's poor management on DX's part, and there is no further excuse.

You are absolutely right. It was scanned by DX on the 12th and logged as out for delivery on the 13th, and then scanned back into storage on the 13th. For some reason they did not automatically send it back out. Just so you are aware, this has been logged and passed on to DX. Again, I'm not trying to defend them, but just to explain that there are circumstances that do cause delays in deliveries. They have however handled it poorly and it will be investigated.

I'm sorry, you seem to have misunderstood. DX were in the wrong, and I've obviously handled this poorly. The last thing I would want is to upset you. You wasted your day waiting in, and we will make sure that it is properly investigated, and hopefully whatever happened, will not happen again. I'm very sorry that what I was trying to say appears to have come across poorly.
