Hi and thanks for taking the time to leave a favourable review of your time in the beautiful islands of Sao Tome and Principe. English is lower-down than normal in the list of spoken languages but we do always ask for English-speaking guides. I'm sorry to hear that your guide detracted from your experience - this is not what we aim for and I've already communicated with the folks on the ground about this. Part of the charm of the islands is the relaxed way of life and sometimes this impacts on logistics - we weren't informed either about the time change and I am glad to hear that you caught the flight! Thank you for taking the time to leave us some feedback about your recent experiences in Cape Verde. Good to read that you feel the service you received from us as a company was excellent and it was a pleasure going through the planning and booking process with you.
I am sorry to read of your experience at the first hotel, Oasis Atlantico Praiamar. This is a hotel we've used for many years and somewhere I have stayed myself a couple of times, so I am really sorry to hear that you didn't have a very comfortable stay there. I did reiterate the lactose intolerance requirement several times (both prior to and during travel) and it is a shame that this wasn't properly catered for. Cape Verde is a very poor country with limited resources and whilst they are getting better at recognising and catering for different dietary preferences and requirements they still have a way to go! Tourism around the islands is much less developed than it is in other more well known destinations and this is the main charm for those looking for somewhere a little different and off the beaten track. However it is not for everybody and I am sorry that this holiday didn't quite match your expectations.
