I honestly thought most reviews were not read, but I'm glad to say after reporting my unfortunate experience, I have now received my whisky. I was contacted by a Whisky Shop staff member, who swiftly sorted out my delayed order.
These things happen, so I've changed my review rating to reflect the very good after care service from the Whisky Shop.

It's as I remember, sweet and smokey nose of liquorice and salt and pepper peat, depth with a fruit cake & sherry taste, long lingering finish. A truly special dram that will be missed.
