Hello, I am sorry to hear that you have not been satisfied with the service we provide. In any employment it is the Employer that is liable for the Employer’s National Insurance contribution (NIC). Through an Umbrella Company, it is no different and the Employers NIC still needs to be paid on your gross salary. The rate you are offered to work through an Umbrella Company should be adjusted to allow for the fact. As an employee of Exceed Umbrella Limited you are employed under an overarching employment contract. You agreed a rate with your recruitment agency prior to signing up with us. This is the rate that we (as your Umbrella Company) invoices for your services and are therefore the funds of the Umbrella Company. From the rate we receive, we must account for our margin and any cost to the Umbrella Company which include: employers pension contributions, apprenticeship levy, employers national insurance contribution and any allowable expenses that have been processed. The remaining funds are then used to pay you salary in accordance with your employment contract. This was explained at point of sign-up and you received an illustration detailing the company income calculations and payment calculations. It is important to remember that the charge out rate is not your salary rate, therefore you are not paying for the company deductions out of your own pocket. Kind Regards, Exceed
