Dear Adam, Many thanks for taking the time to provide feedback. We certainly take on board some of your frustrations regarding this particular process. In this instance, the client approached us to ask if you could interview with only a few hours’ notice. This is never ideal and we would usually push back to allow our candidates more time to prepare however you were willing to interview so the interview went ahead. We send out interview best practice information to all our candidates regardless of whether they are junior like yourself or Director level. Most of our candidates find this helpful, we’re sorry that you didn’t. The account manager for this role was on annual leave and due to staff shortages at this time due to Covid19, we tried our best to navigate our way through this tough time however we do accept that the communication with you did not meet our usual standards. Please be assured that we did regularly chase feedback from the client as to why you were unsuccessful and while you did chase, it was communicated to you that we were struggling to get any response. We did explain to the client that feedback is important especially so that applicants can learn from their experience. For what it’s worth, we stopped any further work on this position unless the client could commit to providing feedback to all our candidates. All in all, we can only apologise that this process didn’t work out as we all hoped. We did support your application in good faith, thinking we had found the right role for you but unfortunately, this was not the case. We will take your feedback onboard and also share with the client in question to ensure a smoother process moving forward. Kind Regards George
