We are aware that this order should have been delivered on Friday. However, as we explained to you when we spoke with you on Saturday morning (and replied to your email promptly), the courier broke down on Thursday and therefore all packages missed the trunk and were not delivered as they should have been on Friday. We apologised profusely to you on Saturday and assured you that the parcel would be out for delivery on Monday - I have just tracked it and am glad to see that it was signed for by yourself at 11.17 this morning.

My point was that, despite knowing there was a problem, you did not contact me on Friday to let me know there was a delay. That is poor customer service.
And in the interests of accuracy and sharing correct information; you did no respond promptly to my e-mail on Saturday morning, nor to my voicemail, I had to call a second time at lunchtime before I spoke to someone who informed me of the delay and you then subsequently e-mailed me that afternoon. I would not describe the apology I received as profuse. The package has now finally been delivered but was not signed for by myself as I am not home!

We managed to email the vast majority of our customers to let them know and are just sorry that yours was missed. The POD was signed with your name, so whoever is at home has written this - hence my belief that you had signed for it.
