As discussed on the phone earlier, our supplier has confirmed that the skittles are suitable for children aged 12 months and over and that there is no safety issue therefore. They chose to put a 2 year sticker over the 12 month one because they want to position the skittles as items which are ideal for 2 year olds, but from a developmental point of view and as a qualified primary school teacher with experience in early years, I fundamentally believe that one year olds will enjoy the toy just as much and will be able to use the skittles for an extended period if they start playing with them as soon as they turn one.
