Thank you for your feedback. Prior to making payment, on our website we state ‘This right of cancellation does not apply if your policy is a short term insurance of less than one month's duration or if you intend to make a claim under the policy’. This is also in our Policy Wording and on the website: http://www.reducemyexcess.co.uk/your-right-to-cancel.aspx You contacted us on Sat 04/06/2016 at 16:01, some 16 hours after the policy had already started. In addition to our policy wording, our home page is headed ‘Car Hire Excess Insurance’ and has a list of vehicles that we cannot cover and this includes vans. We’re sorry that you did not realise that we cannot cover vans and we cannot refund your premium of less than £4. Many thanks Ian Ian Pollicott Eversure Insurance

Nothing wrong at all with the insurance, but when we arrived at our car hire…
Nothing wrong at all with the insurance, but when we arrived at our car hire pick-up we were totally covered for all excesses, so in essence we didn't need this. We should have checked first.

We agree, the car hire companies often have a low 'headline rate' for hiring a car and then make more money at the collection desk on the excess waiver.
